UPCOMING SVNA COMMUNITY MEETINGS & EVENTS
♦ Monday, September 2, 2024, noon, at Adrian-Rosal Park
SVNA Labor Day Picnic: It’s on! Free Fun for Families, Friends, and Neighbors + Live Music! Join us for a more laid-back event than usual – BYOP (Bring your own picnic). Think “festival style” gathering in the park. Bring what you’ll want to be comfy for a fun day that might look something like this: Kurt Huget and Wayne Lechner strumming guitars. Blankets spread out on the grass with a few folding chairs and/or shade you brought from home. Folks enjoying their own picnic-style food and (non-alcoholic) beverages while chit-chatting with neighbors. As a bonus, bring food to share with your neighbors and any other items that might enhance the day. Hope to see you there!
♦ Tuesday, September 24, 2024, 7pm, via Zoom
Assemblymember Damon Connolly: We are very excited to once again welcome Assemblymember Damon Connolly. He will let us know what he has been doing at the state level and how those things might affect us here in Santa Venetia. Damon always looks forward to hearing from all of us, so bring your questions and concerns and join us for a great conversation.
♦ Wednesday, October 30, 2024, 7pm, at TBA
Topic = TBA: Join your neighbors for our bi-monthly Community Meeting. The format changes, the topics change, the people change… but the meetings are always informative and the debate lively.
And it’s that time again – SVNA Board Elections! Make sure to attend to add your support to our SVNA Board of Directors. And if you’ve ever thought about stepping up and joining the Board of the SVNA, please let us know you are interested.
Most meetings include Working Committee presentations regarding Membership, our Watershed, Neighborhood Beautification, Social Activities, Traffic, Parks, and more… as time allows.
