I was educated in Marin County and have always lived locally. After College of Marin I met my wonderful wife Valerie. We soon married in England and bought a small fixer-upper on Vendola Drive in 1975. It was reasonably priced, close to everything, perfect for commuting, plus it had bay access. Our neighbors were wonderful and we have never regretted our decision. While I worked in construction we raised three beautiful daughters. They have since married, blessed us with fantastic grand kids, and luckily live within an hour’s drive. Prior to retiring I wanted to give back to this close-knit community that gave us so much.
I first joined other concerned fathers in making our school’s entry safer for our kids. Later I joined the road median maintenance crew and the SVNA Board. By volunteering I have made new caring friends, feel closer to past ones, and I have been rewarded many times over.
